Community
OCG is involved in a range of initiatives which show our Genuine Care towards the community. Recent and current initiatives include:
-
Dress For Success - supplying corporate attire to those less fortunate.
-
Women’s Refuge - supplying them with cosmetics, toys and clothing.
-
Auckland City Mission - donating all money traditionally for client Christmas gifts to the City Mission.
-
Cure Kids - registering a team of four who are charged with raising $10,000+ for Cure Kids. This involves ongoing fundraising such as auctions. The team compete in a 6-10 hour race including mountain biking, mountaineering and coasteering.
-
Ronald McDonald House - teams volunteer on a regular basis to cook meals for between 100 and 150 people.
-
An OCG team (approx 20) collecting for the Child Cancer Foundation during their annual appeal week.
-
Partnership with OMEGA to assist migrant employment in greater Auckland - OMEGA is a not-for-profit collaborative initiative designed to increase the employment of qualified migrants in Auckland - in jobs that match their skills and experience. OMEGA recognises the unique barriers new kiwis face when entering the New Zealand labour force and have launched a series of practical programmes to address these, while at the same time helping organisations benefit from the talents and skills migrants bring with them.
-
We have also recruited for charities at reduced or no fee eg: Cancer Foundation and St John.
