Contract Senior Project Accountant/Business Partner

Initially a contract role to provide urgent cover during the annual budget process (December-March). Ultimately the role will be permanent but they will take time to find the right person for the long term.
Business partner with Divisional R&D and Project stakeholders to analyse data from across the business, evaluate return on investment, create reports, and streamline processes, ultimately providing valuable information to enable strategic decision making to assure ongoing growth and success.
You'll get exposure to a wide range of projects and interact across the business to develop your knowledge and assist the business in making wise and viable investment decisions. Then you'll get your say on continuous improvements and ongoing innovations for existing and new products and processes.
What you will bring - along with advanced analysis skills and experience in project accounting:
• Accounting qualification with 5+ years' post qualification work experience
• Experience supporting and evaluating large complex Capital projects
• Understanding of ROI evaluation and calculations
• Ability to analyse and report on large amounts of data
• Continuous improvement mindset; lead continuous improvement projects.
• Ability to business partner with and challenge senior executives
• SAP and PowerBI experience (ideally)
• Manufacturing, construction or telco/utilities background
As a born business partner you'll be known for your communication skills which will be critical in engaging and influencing diverse teams to ensure projects are financially viable. Being curious and inquisitive by nature - you'll enjoy not being stuck at your desk, but getting out in the business helping them to make the right financial decisions.
