Financial Systems Manager

to lead the strategic development and operational effectiveness of financial systems within a large, values-based organisation with a high profile, national presence. This pivotal role oversees financial systems performance, manages a small team and will play a key part in a project to replace the current ERP system. You’ll work cross-functionally to promote simplicity, strengthen system integrity, and deliver sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities
- Support the implementation of a new ERP system, working alongside the established project team and external partners.
- Provide strategic and operational oversight of financial systems and data governance.
- Identify and resolve root causes of transactional or reporting errors through collaboration with digital/data teams.
- Design and embed IT controls across finance systems to mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Act as a technical liaison between finance, digital, and service functions.
- Maintain strong financial control throughout systems change initiatives.
- Support and develop a cohesive, high-performing Financial Systems team (3 direct reports).
- Support financial system testing frameworks and ensure data integrity.
- Actively participate in governance groups and maintain best practice approaches.
- Lead with resilience, inclusion, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years experience in accounting and financial systems roles within large organisations.
- 3+ years team management experience.
- Demonstrated success in financial systems implementation, integration, and upgrades.
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to communicate technical insights clearly.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach, with a high degree of resilience and emotional intelligence.
